Kings facilities management (KFM) is a wholly-owned subsidiary (LLP) of King’s College Hospital Foundation Trust (KCH) and has a mission to be the leading provider of support services that enable safe, effective and timely patient care, reinvesting in the NHS. KFM provides a range of support services under its contract with KCH ranging across procurement, supply chain, technical, managed and facilities services. The brief for KFM is to improve the efficiency of legacy NHS support service operations and technology is a key component of this.
The position is fully accountable and responsible for managing all of the organisation’s technology requirements across the business and for managing the overall relationship with the KCH IT organisation.
To be the organisation’s expert on all matters related to technology and systems. Use own knowledge and experience, together with an understanding of the latest developments, to provide future proof and innovative technology solutions for the organisation, with a strong focus on providing an excellent customer experience.
Manage and deliver the analysis, design and implementation of technology solutions to meet the current and future organisation needs, strategy and growth objectives.
To ensure that KFM is deploying appropriate technology which enables it to transform processes and efficiency and reduce costs. The potential to use technology within KFM is fundamental and broad including purchase to pay systems, CRM, ERP, medical image storage, transmission and retrieval, mobile communications, blockchain, AI, and data science.
