To support the organic growth of a real estate business following its acquisition by a listed support services organisation. We needed to identify clear leadership (board level and senior technical specialists) to define and deliver their strategy.
We worked closely with the executive leadership team to help create an appropriate organisational structure that would allow them to strengthen key service lines and better equip them to grow into new markets and geographical territories.
A number of executive search projects were undertaken with the specific aim of attracting individuals from large competitor organisations. In addition, we looked to identify skill sets that were complementary to the business, focusing on individuals operating in slightly different industries in order to bring greater diversity to their approach.
Since 2012, we have successfully completed close to 30 searches on behalf of the client, ranging from Managing Director, Business Development Director, Finance Director and key specialist areas – Investment, Development and Planning.
The relationship has now moved to a broader advisory one, with regular meetings with the executive team to advise on the human capital implications of moving into new service lines, new geographical regions; and on key strategic appointments.
In addition to this, through our integrated offering, our economics & strategy team have attended bi-annual board meetings providing the executive team with a macro-economic overview of the UK, stimulating discussion as to what that might mean for their business.
