The McLean Partnership were engaged by the COO and HR Director of a leading UK University to source their new Director of Estates & Facilities Management. This came after the previous incumbent was due to move on and the role needed to be filled in a timely and efficient manner.
We were asked to look both in the UK and internationally for this mandate after a separate and highly successful search sourced a candidate from outside of the UK. Considering the size of the team (500+) in-house, it was integral that the correct individual have significant leadership experience and be used to dealing with highly complex stakeholders and internal and external processes and procedures. The client was keen to explore options outside of the sector but with a broader and transferable skillset that could add value to the highly complex estate. McLean led a strong campaign combining a tailored microsite, strategically placed adverts, direct approaches and generating leads from our extensive industry contact pool.
Following the successful shortlist of 5 high calibre candidates, a new Director of Estates & Facilities Management was appointed to the organisation, meeting the clients brief and exceeding expectations in multiple areas. The McLean Partnership continues to work with the COO, HR Director and other stakeholders on a range of permanent mandates and interim requirements.
