Market Entry: Interim GM

Looking to expand into South Korea’s Health and Beauty Care market, a European packaging firm turned to McLean for help. Most of the company’s manufacturing was in China, and entering a new regional market required the right local insight and leadership.

We placed a 12-month interim Business Development lead, to be based in South Korea. Their mission was to map local competitors, identify acquisition targets, and explore greenfield options for a new facility focused on local products. They also worked closely with teams in France and China to ensure global alignment.

By the end of the assignment, the interim manager was hired as General Manager for South Korea. Their leadership helped the business build a clear regional strategy and develop product lines to be exported back into China.
