McLean were mandated by a UK based, leading global asset manager to help build a small/mid cap global equities Article 8 team.
The search was specialised; a Co-Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst who both had US market expertise and deep knowledge of the technology sector as well as strong ESG credentials. This meant McLean considered candidates globally in order to ensure the right quality, investment approach, skill set and cultural fit.
Outcome: In Partnership with the client, McLean moved a senior US technology analyst from the sell side into the senior analyst seat. We placed a senior global equities buy side analyst into the co-portfolio manager role. Due to technicalities over start dates, we also found an Interim to cover the 6 months before all members of the permanent team could all be in situ together.
