A global communications consultancy was launching a new practice focused on Financial Services and needed someone who could lead it with confidence and credibility. The challenge was to find a capital markets expert who could shift into an advisory role and connect easily with board-level clients.
McLean was asked to find someone with deep knowledge of capital markets, strong relationship-building skills and the ability to win and deliver complex advisory mandates. Candidates needed to be comfortable transitioning from research or investment roles into a consultative setting.
We focused our search across equity research, investment banking and asset management. The chosen candidate had the commercial maturity and insight the firm was looking for.
